Meet Elizabeth

Elizabeth Kabrick began ballet lessons at age three at Bill Graham Dance Studio in Oklahoma City as an outlet for an abundance of energy. At six, she joined the Lawrence School of Scottish Highland Dance under the direction of Betty Lawrence, who remained her teacher and mentor for decades.

Technique, history, theory, are important components of Scottish Dance along with learning the dances. With her first exam at age eight, Elizabeth has tested regularly under the British Association of Teachers of Dancing (BATD) and is a certified Member in Highland.

Scottish Dance opened the world to Elizabeth as she trained and competed in numerous US cities, as well as Canada, Australia, and of course, Scotland. Highlights from her competitive years include performing in the City of Glasgow’s Lord Provost Procession, competing in the Sydney Opera House, parading at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, and competing at the U.S. Interregional Championships several times.
